May 16, 2008 -  We are happy to announce that Subaru is continuing it's support of triathlon in Canada by becoming the title sponsor of the race, which is now officially the "Subaru Ironman Muskoka 70.3"

 

May 15, 2008 -  Those of you interested in tuning up for the 70.3 race by racing the Subaru Chase on June 15th will need to know that we expect the race to sell out soon so you should enter ASAP to avoid disappointment.

Feb. 27, 2008 -  Deerhurst Resort will be offering an "Ironman 70.3 Training Rate" for any athletes wishing to train on the course this summer.  Rates are as follows: 
$159 May 2 - Jun 26; $189 Jun 27-Sept 11 (Subject to availability, $8.00 resort fee and taxes extra. Some date restrictions may apply).  Athletes just need to call 1-800-461-4393 and ask for the “Ironman Training Rate” to receive the special discount.

Nov. 8, 2007 - Remember - Trisport runs two excellent tune-up races for the Muskoka 70.3.  The Muskoka Chase (June 15/08) takes place in Huntsville over a different route but it will give you the opportunity to preview the course before or after the race.  As well, our Peterborough Half Iron Distance race on July 6 will let you test your fitness over the full distance. For over 21 years Trisport Promotions has been host to over 250,000 triathletes and over 300 triathlons across Ontario. Trisport is taking their combined years of event experience to bring athletes one of the most highly anticipated triathlons in Ontario.  Lisa Bentley and Dave Cracknell have been actively involved in helping Trisport secure the rights to this event and have played an integral role in the course layout and design. Together with Mitch and Janet Fraser they are announcing the formation of Trisport North and the newly acquired Muskoka Ironman 70.3!  

Huntsville and the Township of Lake of Bays are thrilled to play host to this event . Together with the Subaru Muskoka Chase held in June, they will now hold title to the largest triathlon town in Canada and potentially be hosting over 3,000 + triathletes in one year!

Among Muskoka's scenic forests and waterways, and close to legendary Algonquin Park, are landscapes that inspired the Group of Seven, Canada's famous artists. Here, in the heart of Muskoka's majesty, you'll find Deerhurst Resort, acclaimed as "Canada's Best".
