Get Involved in the Community You Race and Spread the Word about Your Sport!

Looking for a way to get to know the people in Lake of Bays?  The Township of Lake of Bays, is looking forward to celebrating your efforts, your strengths, and your passion for Triathlon, and we have 300 school age children, eager to get to know you.  Located along the bike route in Beautiful Township of Lake of Bays, Irwin Public School wants to get connected to you? By getting to know the children in the community, you will quickly become:

  • An example of excellence

  • Famous, to children, Kindergarten to Grade eight.

  • Connected to the community you are racing in, allowing the children to get to know you prior to the race

  • Showered with posters, signs and banners on race day, as young children cheer you on!!

  • A friend to children who have never seen the level of excellence that you display.

We are welcoming you to get involved in letter writing, and participate in an assembly in the fall, where you will be treated like the celebrity that you are!!!  Our children are committed to:

  • Support from screaming young fans along the race course

  • Banners, and posters with your name on it

  • Friendship

We hope that you engage in our community connection project, and fill out the template today!!  We ask that you commit to responding to the children, so that when they meet you in the fall, you all will be old friends, and excited about the upcoming Muskoka 70.3. Please send completed templates to Jennifer at Recreation@LakeOfBays.on.ca

IRONMAN 70.3 CLEARWATER SLOT ALLOCATION POLICY (50 qualifying spots)

At least one Clearwater slot shall be allocated in Ironman 70.3 events to each five-year age-group category in which any age group athlete sends in an application, both male and female, per the age group categories listed.

If there are no athletes entered in the race in a particular age group, then that slot will be moved to the largest populated age group in that same gender.

For additional age group slots, slot allocation shall be representative of the actual number of age group applicants in each category in the race.

As an example, if 8% of the age-group applicants are females 40-44, then 8% of these slots would be allocated in the female 40-44 category.
